We are in the
business of student success. All stakeholders must hold themselves and
students accountable. Stakeholders that do not hold themselves and
students accountable for their actions at home and school make it difficult to
have an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork between the school and home.
It is an essential life skill to guide students at home and in school in
order to form appropriate behavior towards others in public. Certainly,
these behaviors include following school rules, home rules, rules of society,
and the use of appropriate verbal and nonverbal communication. Students mimic
behavior. Stakeholders must support their student's education, and when
they know the student is in the wrong, it is critical to help them understand and
accept consequences for his or her behavior. Accepting the consequences
of one's acts is part of an important behavior formation for the child and is
an essential component in the learning process of life skills. Rules and
procedures are in place for the safety and educational rights of all learners.
Creating dialogue between home and school, and developing the necessary
relationships between these two, are important for success. Children and
students will experience greater success when all investors share the same goal
and path to achieving that goal. Remember Lions, We Are Achieving Excellence
Together!!!
Please post ideas/strategies on building, nurturing and maintaining meaningful relationships between all stakeholders in order to achieve student success.
